My wife and I have shopped at Wylie Wagg for about a year now. We have two Boxers, one being a year old, the other 8 months. Wylie Wagg is a great shop for dogs, and their owners too.  We live near the new Falls Church location and our dog Baxter is warmly welcomed by name, and a complimentary treat, every visit.  The shop employees are always friendly and knowledgeable about the store's products, local events and services, and pets in general.  The treat-wall, or as we like to call the "dog-bar", is always stocked with all-natural treats that Baxter loves.  This shop maintains a perfect balance of food and treats, gifts, toys, grooming, and miscellaneous dog products that can pretty much handle all of your needs.  We have visited many shops with Baxter over the past few years, coast-to-coast, and this is our favorite! --Jill, Steve, and Baxter

We moved to VA from NM 6 months ago.  I needed to find a pet store that carried the dog food I use and so I found Wylie Wagg on the internet and what a find it is!  Number one and most important is my dog Lucy loves going to Wylie Wagg (and we do too).  The staff is fantastic, they are very friendly, you can tell they love animals and they are quite knowledgeable about products, health and safety for animals.  They have an incredible assortment of pet food and know about all of them.  They are genuine in showing their love to my lucy girl and I feel great going there to do business ... my girl is 13 and just got her annual exam and Dr. Christmus said she is in fantastic shape for her age, all tests perfect!  So, the food has something to do with that wonderful report. -- Deb & Fred

Molly is benefitting from a recent switch to the frozen raw food diet that your staff directed me to. Molly is six years old and since the day I got her as a 6-month old kitten, she's had bowel trouble.  I talked with a couple of your staff members for a solid half hour, describing my cat's problems, and looking over the range of foods available that might help her. The results are amazing. Molly's stools have firmed up; I no longer find her whimpering when she needs to "go" and neither she nor her litter box reek any longer.  Between the lower vet bills that I can anticipate and Molly's and my improved situation, this cheapskate doesn't hesitate to spend the money. It's about time a dog boutique finally opened up in Tysons Corner. All about dogs and cats. The prices are fair the selection is outstanding. Leashed dogs are welcome too! They have cute dog cookies too!!! The staff is professional and friendly. I like it! WOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! -- Gene

My husband and I stopped into the Fairfax location on Friday evening and I totally fell in love with the store.  The atmosphere and the very friendly associate who was working just made us feel welcomed. Inside the Beltway at last!  If you're worried about pet food scares, this store is really up to date on formula changes and new products.  Their staff is not only amazingly friendly, but very knowledgeable about breeds and diet sensitivities.  I've found that the staff is more than willing to take the time and have an in depth conversation about pet food and nutrition, which can be particularly helpful if you need to switch foods due to ingredient scares! -- Candace

While I was visiting the northern Virginia area last week, my good friend and I accidentally discovered your store in Falls Church. Both of us have Weimaraners and work closely with the Weim rescue that services our geographical territory. It was nice to see so many breed-specific items featuring Weimaraners! It's also nice to know that in the event I relocate to that area, I will still be able to find some excellent food for my Weim. The young lady that was working in the store on Wednesday when we were there was extremely helpful and personable. My mom stopped by the Middleburg store today and got me this cool safety vest so I can be safe on our evening walks!  I love searching for deer, squirrels and owls, but those nasty cars can drive a little too fast on our little dirt road.  Thanks for keeping me safe from menacing vehicles (and hunters) so I can menace other wildlife!  She said everyone there was really helpful -- and she even got me my favorite NuPro glucosamine product...and some iced cookies.  Yummy! I have absolutely fallen in love with your product (EVO, low-fat in particular, purchased at the Wylie Wagg Store in Middleburg, VA). I initially purchased it for my daughter's service dog. I  want to keep him as healthy and happy for as long as possible, of course, but I had also read that if a dog does not lose weight on a restricted diet that he may be sensitive to the wheat products that are in it. He loves the EVO, and is starting to look less like William Shatner in Boston Legal. I became completely convinced in the value of the product when I started feeding it to our elderly Sheltie. She had been attacked this summer and had gone through two surgeries. Though healed, she acted, sorry to say, like my mother in her later stages of dementia (fur coat and all)!! She acted like she couldn't really see, had no real direction to her walk, had no appetite and no energy. I am so pleased with how she has responded to the EVO! Her eyes are clear and bright and alive. She actually barks and dances to be fed, and eats every morsel (coming from a finicky dog that never finished her food...!). The change is fantastic to see. I love Wylie Wagg!  We would drive to the one in Fairfax all time, because we have (3) rescue pups and (1) kitten.  When I heard your store opened-I jumped up and down.  Tam and Crystal are fantastic employees!!!  They are very helpful and very patient.  Tam followed up with my mom and she was very surprised (most companies don't follow up).  She told me Tam is a good employee and was very willing to help us.  Crystal made me laugh and helped me with the ordering of tags.  Very patient and I appreciated that. Each time I come, Wylie Wagg is one the stores that are on my "must-go-to" list.
