Meet the Author:

Sunday, January 24: Ingrid King, 12:00, Tysons store. Ms. King is the author of Buckley’s Story – Lessons from a Feline Master Teacher. She is a former veterinary hospital manager turned writer. She publishes the E-zine News for You and Your Pet, covering topics ranging from conscious living to holistic and alternative health. She lives in Northern Virginia with Amber, who is the inspiration behind her blog, The Conscious Cat.

General Event Information:

We regularly host adoption days in our shops. If you are affiliated with a shelter, humane foundation or breed rescue group, please consider holding an adoption day through one of our stores. We’ve helped find homes for many animals and welcome the opportunity to find homes for many more.

Rescue groups and humane foundations may bring up to 6 dogs in Fairfax and Tysons, and 3 dogs in Middleburg. Of course, we ask that the dogs be comfortable and non-agressive towards people and other dogs. We also welcome cats for adoption in our shops. If your group would like to host an adoption day for dogs or cats in Fairfax, please call Emily McGrath at (703) 830-5454. In Tysons, please call Allison Swanberg at (703) 748-0022. In Middleburg, please call Tom Taylor at (540) 687-8727.

Additionally, we are happy to host breed club meet-ups in our Fairfax and Tysons shops. We gladly allow clubs to use the store before or after regular business hours. If you belong to a club that might be interested in using our space, just give us a call.

We welcome many other kinds of animal-related events in our stores. So if you have a creative idea, let us know. We do not charge a space fee and are always looking for fun new ways to spend a little time with pets and their people! We welcome:
